Dan Holmes

Founder and Owner, Dan Holmes is the “Boone” behind Boone Digital. He built his first Web Site in 1993. His experience has gained him a broad range of skills: graphic and web design, user interface design, programming and scripting, Flash development, online marketing, content production, editing and copywriting, and much more.

From 2001 to 2006, Dan was the Web Manager and Producer for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. In that role, he was responsible for every facet of the Hall of Fame Web Site, including the creation of content, web graphic design, programming, eCommerce development, and more. He was integral in the relaunch of the Hall of Fame Web Site in 2007.

For parts of two seasons, Dan was a Web Producer for Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) in New York. His primary responsibility was producing content for the Hall of Fame Web Site, which was managed and hosted by MLBAM.

In 2008, Dan returned to Traverse City, MI, where he started Boone Digital with the goal of providing affordable and efficient web solutions for a select list of clients.

Prior to joining the Hall of Fame in 2001, Dan was a webmaster and programmer for Gaylord Digital in Nashville, TN. In that position he worked on Songs.com, an independent artist music Web Site which pioneered digital music downloads, and MusicForce.com, one of the leading Christian music Web Sites.

When he isn’t helping his clients, Dan can be found spending time with his two daughters or running the roadsides of Northern Michigan. In 2009, he completed his third marathon. Dan is also a published author, having written a biography of baseball legend Ty Cobb and contributing to two volumes on baseball history.
